The Captain

A sailor since age 14, Tom has skippered shrimping vessels, cruising/racing sailboats and submarines for 40,000+ miles at sea.   He has a degree in mechanical engineering and served in the USN Submarine force for 12 years.

Tom built Nepenthe from the ground up (1999-2011) and she has been tested in adverse weather and sea conditions.

Tom is currently licensed for commercial chartering by the USCG for 100 Ton vessels, both sail and power on St. Johns River, the Jacksonville area and offshore.
